COACHING

TO FULLFILL YOUR PURPOSE

At The Refinery, our mission is to equip young adults to discover their God-given purpose and pursue it with excellence, integrity, and faith.

Through personalized coaching, biblical wisdom, and practical career guidance, we help emerging professionals build confidence, cultivate character, and integrate faith into every decision — from classroom to boardroom.

Our goal is to refine hearts, sharpen minds, and forge leaders who influence the world for the Kingdom with humility, stewardship, and courage.

EMPOWERING YOUNG LEADERS DAILY

The Refinery empowers young adults to find and live their God-given purpose through thoughtful coaching and biblical guidance.

Our commitment is to cultivate leaders dedicated to Christ-centered leadership and altruism, shaping a brighter future for all.

I never thought I’d shift from 25 years in finance to helping young adults discover their God-given purpose—but over time, it became undeniable.

For a decade, I taught at the university level alongside my finance career. And slowly, I noticed something: my heart was more invested in the students than in spreadsheets.

I found myself spending less time with colleagues and more time with young adults—listening, guiding, encouraging. The more I leaned in, the more I realized: this is what I’m called to do.

Still, the shift wasn’t easy. I’m risk-averse by nature. I was torn—between the comfort of a long-established career and the uncertainty of starting over. But I learned that purpose doesn’t always come with a dramatic exit—it often whispers until you’re brave enough to follow.

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned? Being reliable pays off. It’s not flashy. It’s not loud. But it builds trust, one moment at a time.

Now, I help equip young adults to pursue their purpose with excellence, integrity, and faith—showing up consistently and walking with them through the highs and lows.

Reliability is how faith shows up in motion—through consistency, integrity, and follow-through when no one’s watching.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

At The Refinery, our faith is anchored in the eternal truth of God’s Word and the redeeming work of Jesus Christ. We affirm the historic, biblical doctrines of the Christian faith as revealed in Scripture and upheld through the generations of the Church. * The Word of God We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Written by men under the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit, it is without error in the original manuscripts and stands as the ultimate authority for all matters of faith, life, and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; John 8:31-32) * The Trinity We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in power, glory, and divine perfection. These three execute distinct but harmonious roles in creation, providence, and redemption. (Genesis 1:1,26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3) * God the Father We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He is mercifully involved in the affairs of humanity, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (John 3:16; Romans 1:7; I Peter 1:3) * Jesus Christ We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God—fully God and fully man—conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We affirm His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross for our sins, His bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and His continual intercession for believers. We await His glorious, visible return to earth to establish His kingdom forever. (Matthew 1:18-25; Acts 1:11; Hebrews 7:25) * The Holy Spirit We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all who believe in Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer as our helper, teacher, comforter, and guide. (John 14:16-17; Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:22-26) * Salvation We believe that all people are created in the image of God but have fallen into sin and are separated from Him. Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through repentance and trust in His atoning death and resurrection, we are forgiven, justified, and made new by the Holy Spirit. Those who are in Christ are new creations, reconciled to God and given eternal life. (Romans 3:23; John 3:16; II Corinthians 5:17) * The Church We believe in the universal Church—the spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all true believers are members. We also affirm the importance of the local church as a community of believers gathered for worship, discipleship, service, and mission. The Church is called to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth, glorifying God in all things. (Ephesians 2:19-22; Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:23-25) * The Sacraments We believe that Christ instituted two sacraments—Baptism and the Lord’s Supper—as visible signs of His covenant of grace. Baptism symbolizes our union with Christ and entrance into His covenant family. The Lord’s Supper is a sacred commemoration of His death, in which believers partake of His spiritual presence until He comes again. (Matthew 28:18-20; Romans 6:3-5; I Corinthians 11:23-26) * Our Commitment We hold these truths not as abstract doctrines but as the living foundation of our faith and practice. Through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to live out these convictions with integrity, humility, and love—equipping others to discover their God-given purpose and to glorify Christ in every sphere of life.
